CTV New Year’s Segment
New Year’s Eve is one of the most magical nights of the year. It allows us to embrace a new chapter in life while reflecting on the past, it’s the best time to look party perfect, with show-stopping dresses, edgy footwear, and statement jewelry. If you can’t go all out on New Year’s Eve, when can you?
I’ve pulled together a few fun new years looks that will hopefully inspire you guys and you can incorporate into your new-year look.
Look 1: Sequence
The first thing that comes to mind when thinking of my New Year’s outfits is sequins! It’s truly the only time of the year where you can get away with all of that glam and not feel overdressed. Instead of going for your little black dress, pull out your little sequin dress instead. Or in my case, this stunning open back sequin dress.
Look 2: Holiday colors (Cherry red)
For this look, we are focusing on signature New Years colors and you can never go wrong with cherry red for news years. For this look, we are focusing more on the type of women that don’t like to go all out with the sequence but still likes to keep a mix of glam and style. For this look, we had paired a cherry red skirt with a brown colored blouse adding on a sequence blazer to still keep that festive vibe but keeping it chic and elegant.
Look 3: Wide-legged pants
One of the hottest trends this season are wide legged pants, they are coming back and stronger than ever. The great thing about them is that they fit for any body type; If you are Short they give you some length in the leg, if you have a Pear shaped body, it can also benefit because they narrow the hips or if you are heavy at the top, flared pants will give you a nice silhouette.
Look 4: Holiday Colour (Dark blue)
Another big holiday color we are starting to see more of is blue and you can never go wrong with a pop of color on this special night. For this look we kept it clean and simple with a jumpsuit, still giving off that trendy vibe but keeping it comfortable and simple for a night out with the girls.
Look 5: Flirty romper
The first thing that comes to mind when thinking of a night out is something fun but flirty and to me, that is a romper, you can never go wrong with a romper. It’s versatile. Just as easy to wear to the beach as it is to wear to a dinner out, the romper is like a great dress with a playful and comfy feel. You’ll be sure to find one that fits every event by using the same guidelines you already use to pick out your outfits. Stick with flowy fabrics for day, then amp it up with more structured looks for night.
