I had the pleasure of attending the Metro Care and Share Society to Fashion Night in Halifax! They were featuring a good friend of mine, Anthony El-Cid’s 2017 runway collection and I had the privilege of taking you guys with me behind the scenes as I helped style the models and helped them get ready for their runway appearance. The event was to help raise funds in support of the educational advancement of HRMS at-risk youth and all I can say is what an amazing mix of fashion and education.
As we all know, it takes designers time to complete their final product, and after doing so comes the chaos with getting the models fitted and ready to hit the runway! The back of the house was hectic, as any backstage runway show should be. From dress malfunctions to something being too tight on someone and too large on another, but the amazing part is pushing through all of that and being able to laugh off the stress at the very end.
Anthony’s line was filled with amazing tones. From darker tones to warmer tones, he had everything! Anthony’s vision is indescribable. The vision he portrays for his line is mesmerizing! It’s unbelievable how creative someone can be and how amazing it must be to create a line and see your work being displayed right in front of you.

Anthony, you did an amazing job and finally, your vision has been put out to this universe and I hope that nothing but amazing things come your way. I can’t wait for the next show; thank you again for the invite.
What was your favorite piece from the collection?
